About Me
I'm Ms. McKinney, your 7th Grade Science Teacher. I have a background in Biology and secondary education, but my love for science and passion for teaching started as a young child. I grew up in Maine and still go up there every summer to spend a week with family at "Camp". Being a Mainer (or Main-ah) has taught me to especially appreciate nature and the outdoors. This summer while there, I got to hike Mount Battie and tour the beautiful coastal town of Camden maine. It is a beautiful state and I encourage everyone to visit it!
A bit more about me; I am a proud West Chester University Alumni with over 13 years of teaching experience in both grades 7th and 8th. My favorite pastimes include crafting, live music concerts, sporting events, cooking, volunteer work, and spending time with my family. I have lived in the Triangle since 2007 and have a fourth grade daughter.
I am super excited to be able to teach you and look forward to getting to know you. I hope you find this class fun and learn to appreciate science as much as I do! I am also looking forward to being your science Teacher.
